Encourage me - King Dave

David Edet Okon, popularly known as King Dave, is a Nigerian educator, musician, and multi-instrumentalist. Born and raised in the North, King Dave hails from Akwa Ibom State, while his late mother was from Benue State. He had his primary and part of his secondary education in Kaduna State before relocating to Abuja, where he completed his senior secondary education and university studies. He graduated with a Second Class Upper [2:1] in Economics from the National Open University of Nigeria in 2021. King Dave’s passion for music started early—he has been singing and playing musical instruments since he was 12 years old. Alongside his love for music, he has a strong passion for teaching and has taught in several schools across Abuja. He blends his background in economics with his creative and educational pursuits, making him known for both his academic discipline and his artistic expression.
